What most people don’t see is that I booked it before I felt ready.
I didn’t have a full body of work. I didn’t even know which paintings I would display. The venue was £800 for the weekend, which at the time felt like a huge risk. My Dad hung the paintings, my sister poured the prosecco, I borrowed my brothers car - and voila, we had a show!
